Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu 2026 Schedule Announced

The schedule for the 2026 Bonalu celebrations at Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple has been finalized. Temple authorities submitted the festival details to Ponnam Prabhakar, who assured full government support for the annual Ashada Masam festivities.

According to the schedule, the Goddess Ghatotsavam (Edurukolu) will be held on July 19. The main Bonalu festival is scheduled for August 2, with rituals beginning at 4:00 a.m. Thousands of devotees are expected to participate in the celebrations at the historic temple.

On August 3, the traditional Rangam ceremony will be conducted at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Goddess Gajavahana procession at 10:30 a.m. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said a detailed review meeting would be held with the Endowments Department to ensure smooth arrangements for devotees.

The Telangana government has assured complete cooperation for organizing the Bonalu festivities, including security, sanitation, traffic management, and other essential services. The festival is one of the most significant religious events in Telangana and attracts devotees from across the state.
