Training Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing
A training aircraft made an emergency landing in a field near a highway in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district after developing a technical fault mid-air. The aircraft, identified as a Cessna 152 (VT-AFB), belongs to DGCA-approved Chetak Aviation, based in Aligarh. It had taken off as part of a solo flying training session when the pilot noticed the malfunction.
The trainee woman pilot safely executed an emergency landing, preventing a major accident. However, the aircraft's nose was severely damaged after it struck overhead power lines during the landing. The pilot sustained injuries and was shifted to the Kasganj District Hospital, where her condition is reported to be stable.
District administration officials and police personnel rushed to the site, secured the area, and launched rescue operations. Authorities are expected to investigate the technical failure that led to the emergency landing.
