Suraksha Extends Relief Amid Scorching Heat

Amid rising temperatures in Vijayawada, the NTR district-based Suraksha Service Organisation launched a relief initiative to support traffic police personnel and commuters battling the scorching summer heat. The organisation distributed 1,000 buttermilk packets and 1,000 ORS sachets free of cost to traffic police officers working on city roads under extreme weather conditions.

The distribution programme was conducted at the Police Commissioner’s Office under the supervision of Suraksha Convener K.V. Narasayya. The relief materials were handed over to Traffic DCP Shareen Begum by Suraksha representative Samata Kudaravalli.

Speaking on the occasion, DCP Shareen Begum appreciated the organisation for its humanitarian initiative, stating that such programmes provide much-needed relief to traffic personnel performing duties tirelessly during severe heatwave conditions. She also praised the organisers for showing social responsibility and concern towards public welfare.

Suraksha representatives urged citizens to remain cautious during the summer season and advised people, especially travellers, to consume plenty of water, buttermilk and other fluids to avoid heatstroke.

Traffic DSP Sriveda Gurugubelli, police officials and members of the Suraksha organisation participated in the programme.
