Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the “Future City Police Commissionerate,” presenting an ambitious vision to develop the region into a global metropolitan hub. He said the success of the Future City project depends on collective participation from citizens, leaders, and officials.
Responding to requests from villagers seeking inclusion in the project area, the Chief Minister directed authorities to conduct Gram Sabhas and pass resolutions to bring such villages under the Commissionerate’s jurisdiction, ensuring development with public consent. He reiterated plans to shape Future City on the lines of global cities such as Singapore, Tokyo, and New York, adding that the Future City Development Corporation office will be inaugurated by June 2.
Highlighting earlier achievements, he cited the Outer Ring Road as an example of successful long-term planning despite initial criticism. He assured full government support for farmers affected by land acquisition, stressing that no one would face losses.
The Chief Minister also announced three major bullet train corridors connecting Hyderabad with Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai, which are expected to boost regional economic growth.
Revanth Reddy called for unity to build a world-class city attracting global investment and urged Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream with assurance of rehabilitation support.
