Retired IAS Officers Question Chandrababu’s Decisions

Several retired IAS officers are reportedly expressing dissatisfaction over the functioning style of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, particularly regarding key bureaucratic appointments and transfers. According to discussions in Secretariat circles, many officials who were considered close to the previous YSRCP government are now said to be occupying influential positions in the present administration as well.

Former officials argue that while Chandrababu often speaks about honesty, efficiency, and administrative reforms, his decisions are allegedly sending mixed signals. Critics claim that several IAS officers who worked against the TDP during earlier governments are now functioning closely with the current administration. Some retired officers believe this has created confusion and dissatisfaction among employees and loyal supporters within the system.

They also point out that during the previous YSRCP rule, government employees were hesitant even to mention Chandrababu’s name openly due to political pressure. However, despite returning to power, the present government is allegedly continuing to rely on many of the same officials.

Retired bureaucrats say Chandrababu tends to trust officers completely once they gain his confidence, even when concerns are raised about their political leanings. This has reportedly triggered debate within administrative circles about loyalty, governance, and transparency in the state administration.
