Pawan Kalyan Forms Sena Galam

Amaravati, June 3: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan announced the formation of a special committee named ‘Sena Galam’ to address social issues beyond caste and regional divisions. He said the initiative aims to promote unity and expose wrongdoing without bias.

Speaking after visiting the Amarajeevi Potti Sreeramulu Memorial Park in Sakhamuru, Amaravati, he alleged that caste-based tensions have increased in the state over the past two decades and reached alarming levels during the YSRCP regime. He accused the opposition of encouraging divisions for political gain.

Pawan Kalyan stressed that individual wrongdoing should not be attributed to entire communities and called for an end to caste-based politics. He said the Sena Galam committee includes representatives from various social groups and will work collectively to strengthen social harmony.

He also alleged that journalists were categorised along caste lines during the previous government’s tenure, warning that such practices could lead to social disintegration. He urged citizens and political parties to focus on unity and collective development.

Referring to Telangana, he praised public unity but cautioned against remarks that could create regional tensions. He reiterated his support for Amaravati as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh and criticised inconsistent political positions on the issue.

He highlighted farmers’ sacrifices in pooling over 33,000 acres for Amaravati and said the government must honour commitments to capital development and progress.
