Odisha Depression Brings Andhra Showers

A depression over the Bay of Bengal continues to influence weather conditions along the east coast of India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the system is currently centered near the northern Odisha coast and is likely to cross the coast close to Balasore.

The weather system is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall to several parts of Andhra Pradesh over the next few days. Officials have also warned that strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph may affect coastal districts, creating rough sea conditions.

Authorities have advised fishermen not to venture into the sea until conditions improve, citing safety concerns due to turbulent waters. Residents living in coastal areas have also been urged to remain alert and follow weather advisories issued by local authorities.

Disaster management teams are monitoring the situation closely, and officials are prepared to respond if weather conditions worsen. People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in affected coastal regions and stay updated through official weather bulletins.

The IMD continues to track the depression's movement and has assured that timely updates will be provided as the system progresses.
