Naidu Slams YSRCP Over Propaganda
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the YSRCP during the Jonnagiri Sabha, accusing the opposition party of spreading misinformation and engaging in divisive politics. Referring to the YSRCP as the “Axe Party,” he alleged that its leaders were targeting Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan through false propaganda and attempting to create caste-based tensions by politicising incidents such as the Vijayawada case.
Naidu claimed the opposition was repeatedly misrepresenting facts to mislead the public. He also referred to the Tirupati laddu prasadam controversy, alleging that adulteration had occurred in the past and accusing YSRCP leaders of ignoring earlier issues while trying to gain political mileage through temple visits.
The Chief Minister further criticised the previous YSRCP government for failing to fill teacher vacancies and spreading misleading information regarding DSC recruitment. He said the current administration was conducting recruitment in a transparent manner.
Highlighting pension reforms, Naidu stated that 10,800 employees had been shifted from the Contributory Pension Scheme to the Old Pension Scheme despite the financial burden on the state. He accused the previous government of damaging irrigation and infrastructure systems and said the coalition government was focused on development, industrial growth, welfare programmes and balanced progress across Andhra Pradesh.
