Naidu Reviews Governance, Health and Agriculture

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday conducted a series of high-level review meetings after returning from Singapore, focusing on public health, agriculture, governance reforms, and law and order. He directed officials to integrate yoga into the Sanjeevani public health initiative and promote a “Yoga for Every Household” campaign across the state.

Reviewing preparations for International Yoga Day, Naidu called for large-scale participation under the Yogandhra programme. He also proposed special awards for yoga trainers and suggested introducing therapeutic yoga for chronic diseases. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev is scheduled to participate in a session with the Chief Minister near Undavalli Caves on June 20.

On agriculture, Naidu ordered a comprehensive crop strategy to address El Niño-related weather risks, stressing crop diversification, scientific farming, natural farming, and market-driven cultivation. He also directed officials to support farmers cultivating chilli, tobacco, Totapuri mangoes, and pulses.

The Chief Minister ordered a high-level probe into the disappearance of Gade Saikrishna and suspended Circle Inspector Nagaraju. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan participated in the review.

Naidu further announced mandatory field visits for officials from July, introducing stricter accountability measures and a 360-degree performance evaluation system to improve governance and public service delivery across Andhra Pradesh.
