Lokesh Discusses Century Ply Expansion
Andhra Pradesh Education, IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh met the leadership of centuryply.com� in Kolkata to discuss the company’s expansion plans in Andhra Pradesh. The meeting focused on increasing investments, employment generation, and skill development initiatives in the state.
Century Plyboards, which currently provides around 2,500 jobs in Andhra Pradesh, is exploring opportunities to expand its operations, potentially creating more than 5,000 jobs. Discussions also covered establishing a PPP-based Skill Development Centre and adopting local ITIs to enhance vocational training and workforce readiness. Lokesh said such collaborations would help attract investments and build a future-ready workforce in the state.
