Kollu Ravindra Pledges Model Development in Machilipatnam
State Minister for Mines, Geology, and Excise, Kollu Ravindra, inaugurated multiple development projects in Chinnapura village of Machilipatnam Rural Mandal, emphasizing his commitment to transforming Machilipatnam constituency into a model for the state. He flagged off about 40 projects worth several crores, including a Block Public Health Centre (PHC), Anganwadi buildings, crematorium development, and community service facilities, alongside RTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao.
During a massive rally and public meeting, Ravindra stressed that rural infrastructure, healthcare, and education are crucial for overall state growth. He criticized previous administrations for neglecting village development and highlighted the coalition government’s efforts to ensure accessible healthcare, including upcoming PHCs in Thalla Palem and urban health centers in the town.
He detailed government investments of ₹18,000 crore in healthcare and ₹22,000 crore in education, aiming to provide quality services to every citizen. Ravindra also emphasized preventive health measures, including free cancer vaccines for girls, and promoting natural farming to avoid the health hazards seen in regions like Punjab.
The minister noted ongoing infrastructure improvements, including road widening from Bandar to Chinnapura, bridge and drainage construction funded with ₹38 crore, and plans for an MSME park to create local employment opportunities. He assured that the upcoming completion of the Bandar port will spur industries and jobs in the region.
The event was attended by DCMS Chairman Bandi Ramakrishna, Machilipatnam Rural President Kagith Venkateswara Rao, Market Yard Chairman Kunche Durgaprasad, District Secretary Gopu Satyanarayana, Chinnapura Sarpanch Kagith Gopal Rao, Cluster In-charge Talari Somasekhar Rao, and other local leaders.
Minister Ravindra concluded by reaffirming his dedication to holistic rural development, stating that quality education, accessible healthcare, and robust infrastructure will collectively position Machilipatnam as a model constituency, setting benchmarks for the rest of the state.
This visit underlined the government’s focus on sustainable rural growth, citizen welfare, and employment generation while highlighting the coalition’s developmental achievements in Machilipatnam.
