Job Fraudster Held at Secretariat
A major job fraud racket was exposed near the Telangana Secretariat after SPF police apprehended a man accused of cheating unemployed youth by promising government jobs. The accused allegedly collected large amounts of money from job seekers, claiming he could secure appointments in the Panchayat Raj Department through his contacts.
According to officials, the fraudster convinced several unemployed candidates that they had been selected for government positions. He then asked them to report to the Secretariat premises, where he handed over fake appointment letters designed to appear authentic. After giving the forged documents, he reportedly demanded additional payments and instructed the victims to withdraw cash from nearby ATMs and hand it over to him.
The suspicious activity near the Secretariat caught the attention of SPF personnel, who closely monitored the situation. Upon questioning the accused and verifying the documents, officials discovered that the appointment letters were fake. The suspect was immediately detained and later handed over to the local police for further investigation.
Police are now probing whether more victims were cheated and if others were involved in the scam. Authorities have urged job aspirants to rely only on official government recruitment notifications and avoid paying money to individuals who promise jobs. Officials reiterated that government appointments are made through transparent recruitment procedures and not through middlemen or unauthorized agents.
