The Hyderabad Cricket Association has announced open trials for the upcoming Telangana Premier League (TPL) with the aim of identifying and promoting talented cricketers from across the state. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.
Speaking at the event, HCA Secretary Manne Jeevan Reddy, Operations Head Ambati Rayudu, and CEO Imtiaz Ali said the league is being organized to provide a strong platform for Telangana’s young cricket talent to shine at national and international levels.
Officials stated that nearly 3,000 players from different districts of Telangana are expected to participate in the selection process for the prestigious league, scheduled to be held next month. To ensure transparency, HCA has appointed ten former cricketers as selectors.
Ambati Rayudu said Artificial Intelligence-based evaluation methods have also been introduced in the selection process to prevent irregularities and ensure that deserving players receive fair opportunities.
