ACB Accused Official Back at Temple Centre

Vijayawada, May 14:

Fresh controversy has erupted at Dwaraka Tirumala Temple over the alleged influence of temple superintendent Vasa Nagesh, who was earlier caught in an ACB case involving alleged illegal assets worth nearly Rs 10 crore. Despite being arrested and remanded in the past, the officer has reportedly returned to a key position in the temple administration, triggering criticism from devotees and officials.

Sources allege that temple leases, contracts and administrative decisions are continuing under his influence, while questions are being raised over the silence of the temple chairman and Executive Officer. Allegations have also surfaced that attempts are being made to clear pending ACB cases and secure further promotions within the Endowments Department.

Devotees and local leaders are questioning how an officer facing corruption allegations continues to handle sensitive temple affairs despite existing rules. The issue has now become a major topic of debate within the Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department.
