Ticket Irregularities Surface at Durgamma Temple

Fresh allegations of ticket irregularities have surfaced at the famous Kanaka Durga Temple, raising concerns over revenue leakages at the temple. Two separate incidents related to alleged ticket manipulation have come to light within a week, prompting temple authorities to take action.

Based on complaints filed by the Executive Officer (EO), two FIRs have been registered at the local police station. In an earlier case involving fake ₹500 darshan tickets, a home guard identified as Chandrasekhar was suspended following an investigation.

In the latest incident, the EO reportedly removed two employees from their duties for their alleged involvement in ticket-related irregularities. Authorities suspect that the actions of a few staff members may have caused losses to the temple’s revenue.

Temple officials have initiated inquiries into both cases and assured strict action against those found responsible. The incidents have sparked concern among devotees, with demands for stronger monitoring mechanisms and greater transparency in ticket issuance and revenue management at the temple.
