Special Commandos Guard Vande Bharat

Security has been significantly strengthened on the Jammu–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express as the number of pilgrims travelling for the annual Amarnath Yatra continues to rise. To ensure the safety of passengers, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has deployed specially trained CORAS (Commandos for Railway Security) personnel on board the train.

The commandos, equipped with advanced firearms and tactical gear, are conducting regular patrols throughout the journey to enhance security and respond swiftly to any potential threat. Their deployment forms part of a broader security plan introduced during the Amarnath Yatra, one of the country's largest annual religious pilgrimages.

A video showing heavily armed CORAS commandos patrolling inside the Vande Bharat Express has gone viral on social media. The visuals have attracted widespread attention, with many devotees appreciating the government's efforts to provide a safe and secure travel experience for pilgrims heading to Jammu and Kashmir.

Authorities have stepped up security arrangements across the region, including railway stations, trains and key pilgrimage routes, in view of the increased movement of devotees during the yatra season. Officials said the enhanced deployment is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring smooth and incident-free travel.

Pilgrims have welcomed the additional security, expressing confidence that the presence of trained commandos will strengthen safety and provide reassurance throughout the journey.
