SIT Hunts Three Key Suspects
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged custodial death of Sai Krishna has intensified its search for three absconding suspects after concluding that the victim was killed at the Krishnalanka Police Station in Vijayawada. Circle Inspector Nagaraju has already been arrested in connection with the case.
According to investigators, two Head Constables, Ashok and Jangam Nani, along with Nagaraju's associate Suresh, allegedly played key roles in disposing of Sai Krishna's body after the incident. The trio has reportedly been absconding for several days, and SIT teams are tracking their phone signals while conducting searches at multiple locations.
Officials said Ashok, who worked closely with CI Nagaraju, was not found at his residence during searches. Nani, recently posted to Krishnalanka Police Station, had earlier been suspended while serving in Gannavaram. Investigators are also examining allegations that he handled private dealings using the CI's name.
Suresh is believed to have arranged a settlement meeting with Sai Krishna's maternal uncle, Navarang, on May 29. The uncle reportedly confirmed to the SIT that Suresh, Ashok, and Nani visited his residence together in a black vehicle.
The SIT is continuing its investigation to trace the absconding suspects and uncover the full sequence of events in the case.
