SIPB Clears ₹9,076-Crore Investments
N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired the 19th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting in Amaravati, approving 11 investment proposals worth ₹9,076.11 crore that are expected to generate 10,531 jobs across Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister directed officials to accelerate industrialisation to create additional income opportunities for farmers and promote entrepreneurship. He also called for a comprehensive policy on ethanol, methane, and aviation fuel, highlighting the potential benefits of increased ethanol production for maize farmers and the state's biofuel sector.
Naidu stressed the need to expand food processing industries and develop tourism by establishing 100 Experience Centres at key destinations, including Thimmamma Marrimanu, Polavaram, Dindi, Gandikota, Kambham Cheruvu, Lambasingi, and Araku.
He also urged officials to promote traditional handicrafts, strengthen renewable energy manufacturing, complete pending MSME parks, and establish a Logistics University and Skill Development Centres.
Major investment approvals included projects by Akshat Greentech Pvt. Ltd., Berry Alloys Ltd., Adani Foundation, and Mondelez India Foods Pvt. Ltd.. The government said the projects would strengthen industrial growth, boost employment, and support sustainable economic development across the state.
