Naidu Pushes P4 Poverty Mission
N. Chandrababu Naidu has described the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership for Prosperity) programme as a long-term strategy to eliminate poverty through community participation. Speaking at a meeting with P4 mentors and Golden Families in Kuppam, he said the initiative aims to transform economically weaker families into self-reliant and prosperous households.
The Chief Minister explained that the programme pairs underprivileged families with volunteer mentors who provide guidance and support for sustainable economic and social development. Representatives from Adani Group, TVS Motor Company, and the Mega Group attended the event after adopting several families under the scheme.
Naidu urged mentors to prepare customised development plans for each family and monitor their progress with the help of Golden Mitras. He said the programme follows the “MBK-10:20” model, where the top 10% of society supports the bottom 20%.
According to the Chief Minister, 12 lakh Golden Families have been identified across Andhra Pradesh, while 1.1 lakh mentors have volunteered. He reiterated the government's goal of achieving Zero Poverty by improving incomes, reducing inequality, and showcasing successful beneficiary stories to encourage wider participation.
