Sandhya Case Hearing Put Off

The Nampally Court on Sunday adjourned the hearing in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case involving actor Allu Arjun to July 6. The case came up for hearing amid the actor’s absence from court, as he is currently in Mumbai for a film shooting schedule.

Ahead of the hearing, Allu Arjun’s legal team filed a petition seeking permission for the actor to participate in the proceedings through virtual mode. The lawyers informed the court that his professional commitments in Mumbai prevented him from appearing in person. The court, however, advised the legal team to file a memo regarding his absence.

During the proceedings, 12 other accused persons connected to the case appeared before the court and complied with the hearing requirements. The actor’s counsel further informed the court that Allu Arjun is expected to attend the next hearing virtually as well, subject to the court’s approval.

The case pertains to the stampede incident reported at Sandhya Theatre during a film-related event, which drew significant public attention and led to legal proceedings against several individuals. With the matter now postponed, the court will take up further hearing and related petitions on July 6.
