Lokesh Meets Korean Ambassador
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh held a courtesy meeting with Lee Seong-ho in New Delhi to discuss ways to strengthen economic and industrial cooperation between South Korea and India.
During the meeting, the two leaders explored opportunities for expanding the presence of Korean companies in India and discussed collaboration in key sectors such as semiconductors, microelectronics, storage systems, shipbuilding and electric vehicle manufacturing. South Korea is widely regarded as a global leader in these industries and has emerged as a major technology and manufacturing hub.
Lokesh highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to create a world-class industrial ecosystem through robust infrastructure, skilled manpower and investor-friendly policies. He emphasized that the state is actively promoting investments in electronics, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and other technology-driven sectors.
The minister said Andhra Pradesh has the potential to become a long-term strategic partner for Korean companies looking to establish or expand their operations in India. He also outlined the state government’s vision of attracting global investments and generating employment opportunities through industrial growth.
Both sides expressed optimism about future collaboration and agreed to explore new avenues for partnership, with a focus on technology, innovation and sustainable economic development.
