SI Booked Over Child Driving
A case has been registered against Cyberabad Commissionerate Sub-Inspector Pujari Tirupati after a video showing his six-year-old granddaughter driving a car on a public road went viral on social media. The incident occurred on Gandhanguda Road under the jurisdiction of the Narsingi Police Station in Cyberabad.
According to reports, the child was behind the steering wheel while the SI was present in the vehicle. Concerned motorists stopped the car and questioned the officer over allowing such a young child to drive on a public road. In response, Tirupati reportedly tried to justify the act by saying that the vehicle was an automatic car.
The video of the incident quickly spread across social media platforms, triggering criticism from the public over the apparent violation of road safety rules. Following the viral footage, Narsingi police registered a case against the SI and initiated legal proceedings.
Police officials said the matter is under investigation and that further action will be taken in accordance with the law. The incident has once again highlighted the importance of responsible driving practices and strict adherence to traffic regulations, especially when it comes to the safety of children and other road users.
