Afghanistan Floods Leave Heavy Toll

Flash floods have caused widespread devastation in Afghanistan's Nuristan province, leaving at least 20 people dead and more than 100 others, including the mayor of Parun city, reported missing.

According to local authorities, the sudden floods swept through several parts of the province, destroying homes, shops, and marketplaces. Hundreds of commercial establishments were damaged or washed away as powerful floodwaters inundated the region.

Rescue operations have been severely hampered due to a lack of proper equipment and resources.
