Telangana Cabinet Meets Today
The Telangana Cabinet will meet on Friday at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The meeting is expected to focus on several important administrative and development-related issues, with special emphasis on the revised cost estimates of major irrigation projects.
According to official sources, the Cabinet is likely to hold detailed discussions on proposals related to the revised estimates, which are considered crucial for the implementation and completion of ongoing irrigation works across the state.
During the previous Cabinet meeting, Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy reportedly expressed concern that proposals regarding the revised project estimates were not moving beyond the officials' level and had not been placed before the Cabinet for approval. Following the discussion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed that the matter be taken up comprehensively in the next Cabinet meeting.
The outcome of Friday's meeting is expected to provide clarity on the government's approach towards irrigation infrastructure and project funding. Besides irrigation, the Cabinet may also deliberate on other governance and policy matters concerning the state's development. The meeting is being closely watched as several key decisions are expected to influence Telangana's infrastructure and water resource management plans.
