Jeevan Reddy Protests At Station

Political tension prevailed in Jagtial after BRS leader Jeevan Reddy lodged a complaint against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the local police station. According to Jeevan Reddy, there was an unnecessary delay in accepting his complaint, prompting him to stage a protest outside the police station.

The controversy began when Jeevan Reddy arrived at the station but found that Circle Inspector Karunakar had left before his arrival. When contacted over the phone, the officer reportedly informed him that it would take some time to return. Upset over the delay, Jeevan Reddy accused the CI of negligence and sat in protest in front of the police station.

Several BRS leaders and party workers gathered in support of Jeevan Reddy, leading to tense scenes around the police station and the Old Bus Stand junction. Police personnel were deployed to maintain law and order as the protest continued.

After the CI returned, Jeevan Reddy formally submitted his complaint against the Chief Minister. However, he alleged that the officer remained indifferent and merely asked him to submit the complaint for review instead of engaging in discussion. Jeevan Reddy further accused CI Karunakar of acting like a Congress worker rather than an impartial police officer. The incident has sparked political debate, while police have not issued an official statement on the allegations.
