Local Body Polls After SIR

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that elections to local bodies will be conducted immediately after the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He indicated that the polls are likely to be held by the end of September or during October, depending on the completion of the revision process.

Addressing party leaders, the Chief Minister urged all TDP cadres to gear up for the upcoming elections and begin preparations at every level. He stressed the importance of strengthening coordination among alliance partners to ensure effective election management.

Chandrababu also announced that a state-level coordination committee meeting of the alliance parties will be held on July 15. He instructed party leaders to organize similar coordination meetings at the zonal, district, constituency, and mandal levels to improve communication and streamline election-related activities.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the alliance should remain united and fully prepared to face the local body elections. He called upon party workers to actively engage with the public and focus on organizational strengthening ahead of the polls.

The announcement has generated political interest, as preparations for the much-awaited local body elections are expected to gather pace across the state.
