DSP Ravi and CI suspended for negligence in Menchu Chakraiah Goud’s murder case

Suryapet DSP Ravi and Tungaturthi CI have been suspended for their alleged negligence in handling the murder case of senior Congress leader Menchu Chakraiah Goud in Nutanakal mandal’s Miryala village. The state police department has taken strict action, transferring both officers and attaching them to the DGP’s office.
A memo has also been issued to the local SSI for failing to act on prior warnings from the victim’s family. According to reports, the family had informed the police about an ongoing dispute within the family before the murder took place. Despite this, no preventive measures were taken, leading to outrage over police inaction.
The case has sparked concerns over law enforcement’s role in preventing such crimes, prompting authorities to enforce disciplinary action against the responsible officers.
