KKR Crush SRH by 80 Runs to Bounce Back in IPL 2025
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) stormed back to winning ways with a dominant 80-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their IPL 2025 clash at Eden Gardens on Thursday.
Batting first, KKR put up an imposing total of 200/6 in their 20 overs. Venkatesh Iyer led the charge with a blistering 60 off 29 balls, while Rinku Singh's unbeaten 36 off 18 deliveries provided the finishing touch.
In response, SRH suffered a disastrous start, losing wickets in quick succession. Impact substitute Vaibhav Arora rattled their top-order, leaving them reeling early in the chase. While debutant Kamindu Mendis and Heinrich Klaasen attempted to fight back, their dismissals ended any hopes of a turnaround. Klaasen managed a quick 33 off 21 balls, but SRH fell well short, getting bowled out for 120.
This loss marks SRH’s third consecutive defeat in the tournament, raising concerns about their form moving forward.
