The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has intensified its crackdown on online gaming platforms suspected of tax evasion and financial irregularities. In a major move, authorities have blocked 357 gaming websites and frozen around 2,400 bank accounts linked to gaming companies.

As part of the operation, ₹126 crore in funds held by these companies has been seized. The crackdown follows investigations into online platforms allegedly operating without proper tax compliance, leading to revenue losses for the government.

DGGI has been actively monitoring the online gaming sector for potential violations of GST regulations. Officials have warned that strict action will continue against platforms failing to adhere to tax laws.
