Amaravati ORR Land Acquisition to Begin Soon
140-meter-wide road with service roads approved
NHAI initially approved 70-meter width
MoRTH grants approval after state govt's requests
The land acquisition process for the Amaravati Outer Ring Road (ORR) will soon commence for a 140-meter-wide corridor, including service roads. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had initially approved a 70-meter width for the project.
However, following multiple requests from the state government, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has granted its approval for expanding the width to 140 meters. This decision aims to enhance connectivity and accommodate future growth in the region.
An official notification regarding the land acquisition is expected to be released soon, providing further clarity on the process and timeline.
