Interim orders extended by Telangana High Court

The Telangana High Court has postponed the next hearing on the Kancha Gachibowli land dispute case to April 7. The case involves a public interest litigation filed by Vata Foundation and students of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) over 400 acres of disputed land between the government and HCU.

During the hearing on Wednesday, the High Court issued interim orders directing the government to halt all work on the disputed lands for one day. The court resumed hearing the petitions on Thursday.

The Advocate General requested additional time to file a counter on the public interest litigations related to the case. Accepting the request, the High Court extended the interim orders prohibiting any work on the Kancha Gachibowli lands until the next hearing on April 7.
