The Rachakonda police have arrested five individuals involved in stealing ₹29.69 lakh from an SBI ATM in Ravirala village. The robbery, which took place on March 2, was carried out by the gang using a white Swift car. They disabled the CCTV cameras by spraying them and used a gas cutter to break open the ATM.
Following a complaint filed by SBI deputy manager Korra Sreevani, a case was registered at Adibatla Police Station. Special teams, under the direction of Rachakonda Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, along with DCP Maheshwaram D. Sunitha Reddy and DCP Crimes Aravind Babu, collaborated with the Adibatla Police, CCS, SOT, and IT cell to investigate the case.
With the help of technical evidence and modus operandi analysis, police tracked and arrested the offenders from Rajasthan and Haryana. Authorities seized ₹4 lakh in cash, a white Swift VXI car, a gas cutter, cylinders, gloves, mobile phones, and other incriminating materials. The investigation is ongoing to recover the remaining stolen money.
