CM Revanth Reddy to Launch Fine Rice Distribution for Ration Card Holders on Ugadi

Fine rice scheme to benefit all ration card holders

Telangana first in India to implement such an initiative

Government aims to curb ration rice black market

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will officially launch the fine rice distribution scheme for ration card holders on Ugadi, announced Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. He stated that Telangana is the first state in India to implement such a program, ensuring that every ration card holder receives high-quality rice.

The minister emphasized that the decision was made by CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and the state cabinet to combat the illegal sale of ration rice by certain groups. He asserted that the scheme aims to ensure that people consume the quality rice provided by the government instead of it being diverted into the black market.

With this initiative, the Telangana government seeks to improve food security and provide better nutrition for its citizens, making quality rice accessible to all eligible families.
