Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Sri Lanka on April 5, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries. During his visit, PM Modi is expected to sign multiple agreements aimed at enhancing economic and strategic cooperation.

A key highlight of the visit will be the inauguration of the Sampur Power Plant, a major Indo-Sri Lanka joint venture aimed at boosting the island nation's energy sector. The visit also includes high-level meetings with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

Discussions are likely to focus on trade, security, connectivity, and regional stability, further strengthening India's role in Sri Lanka’s development initiatives.
