FIR registered against Arvind Kejriwal on Delhi court orders
Allegations of misuse of government funds for hoardings
FIR registered as per Rouse Avenue court's orders
Next hearing scheduled for April 18th
A police case has been registered against AAP chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over allegations of misappropriating government funds. The FIR was registered following the orders of the Rouse Avenue court in Delhi, issued on March 11.
The allegations stem from the alleged misuse of government funds to put up large hoardings across Delhi in 2019. According to reports, then Matiala AAP MLA Gulab Singh and former Dwarka A ward councilor Nitika Sharma were involved in setting up the hoardings, which sparked criticism for alleged deliberate wastage of public funds.
Following the court’s directive, the police filed a report confirming that an FIR had been registered against Kejriwal. An investigation into the matter has been initiated, with the court adjourning the hearing to April 18 for further proceedings.
