Government directs immediate investigation
The Andhra Pradesh government has ordered an inquiry into the degree certificate of YSRCP leader and former Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram. The state Vigilance and Enforcement Director will conduct the investigation following allegations that Tammineni submitted fake educational certificates.
MLA Kuna Ravikumar had lodged a complaint with the government, alleging that Tammineni, who is in charge of the YSRCP Srikakulam district parliamentary constituency, misrepresented his qualifications in election documents. Ravikumar demanded an immediate inquiry into the matter.
Responding to the complaint, Principal Secretary (Political) S. Suresh Kumar confirmed that the Vigilance and Enforcement Department has been directed to investigate the authenticity of Tammineni’s degree.
