Case Registered Against Former Minister Vidadala Rajini
ACB registers case after gathering evidence
A case has been registered against YSRCP leader and former minister Vidadala Rajini by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) following allegations of extortion. She is accused of threatening the owner of Sri Lakshmi Balaji Stone Crusher in Yedlapadu, Palnadu district, and illegally collecting Rs. 2.2 crores.
The ACB has named Rajini as A1, IPS officer and former Guntur RVEO Palle Joshua as A2, along with Rajini's associate Maridi Gopi as A3 and her PA Dodda Ramakrishna as A4. The Vigilance and Enforcement department had earlier received a complaint regarding Rajini’s alleged threats and financial demands. Based on this, department director general Harish Kumar Gupta initiated an investigation and submitted a report to the government.
Following his recommendation, the government ordered an ACB probe. After a detailed inquiry by ACB director general Atul Singh, the case was officially registered yesterday upon finding substantial evidence.
