After an 18-hour journey from space, NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore safely landed on Earth aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft. The capsule splashed down in the ocean off the Florida coast at 3:27 AM, marking a successful return.
Accompanying them on the mission were astronauts Nick Haeck and Gorbunov. Shortly after landing, NASA teams retrieved the spacecraft from the ocean and relief teams promptly opened the hatch. The astronauts emerged at 4:22 AM, greeted by their support team.
Following the initial checks, the crew was transferred to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they will undergo medical evaluations and debriefings. The return marks another milestone in NASA’s ongoing space missions, reaffirming the efficiency and safety of the Crew Dragon program.
