Series of Robberies in Guntur District

A wave of robberies shook Ponnur town in Guntur district as six shops were burglarized in a single night, creating panic among business owners. The thefts occurred at a wine shop, Chola Insurance office, M&M Servicing Center, and a Finance Office on BGC Road, a key commercial stretch in the town.

What has alarmed the public is that these robberies happened on the main road, just a short distance from the police station. The unidentified burglars managed to break into multiple establishments, stealing valuables and cash.

Upon receiving complaints, the Ponnur Urban Police registered a case and began an investigation. Police teams are analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas to track down the culprits. Local traders and residents have urged authorities to strengthen night patrols and improve security to prevent further incidents.
