AP Government Clears ₹6,200 Crore Dues for Employees

The Andhra Pradesh government has provided major relief to its employees by releasing ₹6,200 crore in pending dues related to the General Provident Fund (GPF) and Group Life Insurance (GLI). These funds are being directly deposited into employees’ bank accounts, ensuring swift disbursal.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu approved the release of the funds two days ago, instructing the Finance Department to take immediate action. Following this directive, the government initiated the process, and officials have confirmed that all payments will be completed by tuesday or Wednesday evening.

Employees across the state have welcomed this move, expressing happiness over the resolution of their long-pending financial issues. Various government employee associations and NGO leaders have lauded the decision, stating that it reflects the government's commitment to employee welfare.
