BJP Andhra Pradesh President And Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeshwari asserted that the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is keeping its promise to the people of Andhra Pradesh by actively supporting the development of Amaravati as the state capital. She said that the allocation of funds for the capital’s construction is a clear reflection of the BJP’s commitment made during the previous election.
Speaking to the media, Purandeshwari highlighted that Amaravati holds emotional and developmental significance for the people of the state. She mentioned that despite previous hurdles and political neglect, the Centre has always stood in favor of Amaravati and is now moving forward with financial assistance to ensure its development is not stalled.
"The central government is fulfilling its election promise. Funds are being released in phases for the development of infrastructure, administrative buildings, and other key components of the capital city," she said. She added that this initiative underscores the Modi government’s dedication to balanced regional development and respect for the aspirations of Andhra Pradesh’s citizens.
Purandeshwari also criticized previous efforts that led to confusion and halted progress in the capital region, stating that political indecision had cost the state valuable time. She expressed confidence that with active support from the BJP-led Centre, Amaravati would soon emerge as a well-planned and vibrant administrative hub.
She called upon the people to recognize the Centre’s consistent efforts and reiterated that the BJP would continue to stand with the vision of Amaravati as the people's capital, honoring the sacrifices and dreams of farmers and citizens who contributed land and support for its development.
