Accused in Satyavardhan Kidnapping Case Hiding in Nepal

Police trace Komma Koteswara Rao and others to Nepal

Accused making phone calls to friends to track case progress

Police preparing to bring arrested accused Ranga on PT warrant

In a major development in the Satyavardhan kidnapping case, police have traced the whereabouts of key accused Komma Koteswara Rao alias Kotlu and others to Nepal. Rao, a close aide of Former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, is one of the prime accused still absconding in the case.

The police, relying on technical surveillance, identified that Kotlu and three other accused fled to Nepal following the arrest of Vallabhaneni Vamsi. It is reported that they have been frequently calling friends from Nepal, seeking updates on the case and the movements of the police. These phone conversations helped investigators narrow down their current location across the border.

Earlier, another accused, Olupalli Mohanrangarao alias Ranga (A-5), was arrested by the CID police in connection with the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office. The police now plan to present him in court on a Prisoner Transit (PT) warrant related to the kidnapping case.

Officials revealed that Vamsi played as significant a role in the kidnapping as Kotlu, and both went into hiding after the case came to light. While Ranga was caught recently in Eluru, efforts are now focused on apprehending the remaining accused.

Among the six other accused, two individuals from Visakhapatnam reportedly fled towards Srikakulam. Meanwhile, Nepal has become the hideout for Kotlu and three others, according to police sources. Investigations are underway to determine their exact location in Nepal, and further action is expected soon with coordination from central agencies if needed.

The case, which has political implications, continues to unfold with key arrests and cross-border movements keeping the authorities on high alert.
