Home Minister Anitha slams Jagan Over Police Remarks

Anitha terms Jagan’s Raptadu visit a political drama with 1,100 police deployed

Warns that YSRCP may not win even 11 seats if behavior doesn’t change

Backs SI Sudhakar, says Jagan should be ashamed for attacking police

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha launched a scathing attack on YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over his controversial comments during a recent visit to Raptadu. Addressing the media, she described the visit as a well-orchestrated drama and questioned the logic behind deploying 1,100 police personnel for Jagan’s security. “Even Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan hasn’t received that level of protection,” she pointed out.

Anitha clarified that the deployment was due to the sensitivity of the area and not political favoritism. However, she expressed anger over YSRCP supporters pushing toward the helipad and causing injuries to police officers. “Jagan claimed the helicopter was damaged and left, but it took off shortly after. This was all part of a pre-planned act,” she alleged.

The Home Minister criticized the culture of violence during the previous YSRCP regime, stating that over 2,800 TDP leaders and activists were killed. “False cases were filed against me, the present CM, Deputy CM, Speaker, and Deputy Speaker,” she said, and recalled the custodial torture faced by rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju.

She questioned whether it is acceptable for a former Chief Minister to say he will strip police officers of their uniforms. “This is the reason your party has fallen from 151 seats to 11. And if you don’t change, you won’t even get 11 next time,” she warned.

Anitha announced that a full investigation would be conducted into the alleged helicopter incident and warned the YSRCP that the law would take its own course if such conduct continues. She praised Ramagiri SI Sudhakar for his bold response and said, “Sudhakar has real courage. Jagan should be ashamed of speaking against the very police who protect democracy.”
