CM Chandrababu Urges Greater Effort as AP Climbs to No. 2 Spot

Andhra Pradesh ranks second in India in economic growth rate for 2024–25

CM Chandrababu draws parallels with Hyderabad's rise during his 1990s tenure

Calls for intensified efforts to reach the number one position

Andhra Pradesh has secured the second spot in the country in terms of economic growth for the fiscal year 2024–25, according to a national report highlighting the state's rapid development under the newly formed coalition government.

Reacting to the milestone, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took to social media to express pride in the state's progress and urged everyone to work harder to reach the top. Reflecting on his earlier term in office, he recalled, “In the 1990s, when I first served as Chief Minister, Hyderabad city was in the second position, with Bengaluru ranked number one. But today, Hyderabad has become number one in all sectors.”

Drawing a motivational parallel, the CM added, “Similarly, today we are faced with a new challenge—or rather a new opportunity. We must seize this and move forward. Being in the No. 2 position means we must work even harder.”

Naidu emphasized that the state’s progress is a collective responsibility and called on all stakeholders—from government officials to citizens—to double their efforts. With a renewed focus on infrastructure, investments, and governance, the Chief Minister reiterated his vision of making Andhra Pradesh a model state in the country.

The achievement has boosted the morale of the administration, as the coalition government’s focus on job creation, digital transformation, and investor confidence continues to yield positive outcomes. The Chief Minister’s statement serves as a rallying call to transform the current momentum into long-term, sustainable growth.
