Minister says CBN P4 policy will be launched with Reliance CBG plants

Government's single target to create 20 lakh jobs in five years

Lokesh says 50 CBG plants will be set up in Kanigiri region

State Education, IT, and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh stated that Reliance CBG plants will be the launch pad for the P4 policy announced by CM Chandrababu Naidu, aiming to eradicate poverty through economic growth. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for Reliance’s Integrated Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant at Divakarapuram, Kanigiri constituency, Lokesh announced plans to establish 50 CBG plants in the region.

Minister Lokesh highlighted that gas will be produced from Niper grass, benefitting farmers in hilly areas lacking water facilities. The project will bring 5 lakh acres of fallow land into use across Prakasam, Anantapur, Chittoor, and Kadapa districts. As part of the Rs. 65 thousand crore investment, Reliance aims to set up 500 plants across Andhra Pradesh, generating employment for 2.5 lakh people. The Kanigiri region is expected to become a major CBG hub, with 497 acres allotted for the first plant.

Lokesh reiterated the government's commitment to creating 20 lakh jobs within five years, emphasizing that Reliance's initiative will play a key role in achieving this goal. He also announced plans to lay the foundation stone for Triple IT in Kanigiri soon and promised funds for the Kanigiri railway project by April. Minister Lokesh warned that any attempts to obstruct progress through false propaganda would be documented in the Red Book.

The program was attended by several ministers, legislators, officials, and Reliance representatives, including Reliance Industries Director PMS Prasad, Reliance Bioenergy CEO Harindra K. Tripathi, and others.
