BRS Wants Power Back, Daydreaming of Toppling Government: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy
Minister Ponguleti accuses BRS of conspiring against the government from day one
Says Kotha Prabhakar Reddy acting on instructions from former CM KCR
Assures Indiramma houses will be given to all eligible citizens, irrespective of party or caste
Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy launched a scathing attack on BRS MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who recently claimed that some forces are trying to topple the state government. Reacting to the remarks in Hyderabad, the minister said BRS leaders have been dreaming of dethroning the Congress-led Indiramma government ever since it came to power, driven purely by a thirst for power.
He alleged that Kotha Prabhakar Reddy was acting at the behest of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao, and added that BRS leaders have been unable to digest the government’s decision to reclaim 400 acres of land in Kancha Gachibowli. “They are not able to tolerate the pace at which public welfare programs are being implemented. That’s why they are spreading such narratives,” Ponguleti said.
Calling Kotha Prabhakar Reddy “the soul of KCR,” the minister accused the BRS of plotting to destabilize the government from the beginning. “Both father and son — KCR and KTR — are restless to regain power and make a return to the Chief Minister's chair,” he added.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to welfare, Ponguleti said Indiramma houses would be distributed to all eligible citizens, regardless of political affiliation, caste, or religion. “Small rice is being supplied to all those eligible, and we have already released a GO regarding SC categorisation,” he said.
Taking a sharp dig at the BRS MLA, Ponguleti remarked that the introduction of Bhubharathi has rattled Kotha Prabhakar Reddy. “Trains are running in his heart with panic — that's why he is reacting this way,” he concluded.
