Pooja Hegde Speaks Out Against Discrimination in Film Industry

Actress Pooja Hegde has made sensational comments about gender discrimination in the film industry. She stated that heroines are often treated unfairly compared to their male counterparts, pointing out various instances of inequality.

Pooja revealed that on film sets, heroes' caravans are placed close to the shooting spot, while heroines' caravans are kept at a distance. This forces actresses to walk long distances in heavy costumes, adding to their discomfort. She also expressed her disappointment that, despite their contributions, heroines’ names are sometimes omitted from film posters.

Despite years of experience in the industry, Pooja said she still feels like a "second-grade" person due to the way heroines are treated. Her comments echo similar grievances shared by other actresses in the past about the male-dominated nature of the industry.

On the work front, Pooja Hegde is currently busy with projects in Bollywood and Kollywood. She has multiple films lined up, including big-budget ventures alongside superstars like Rajinikanth, Vijay, Suriya, and Shahid Kapoor.
