CM Says Modi Spreading Division, Caste Census Essential

Asserts that Telangana fulfilled Rahul Gandhi's promise by waiving farm loans

Demands nationwide caste census, vows to block BJP’s entry into Telangana

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made sharp political remarks during the AICC (All India Congress Committee) meeting, launching a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Revanth accused the PM of attempting to create communal tensions and divide the country based on religion. “Modi is not following Gandhiji's ideology but promoting Nathuram Godse’s vision,” he alleged.

Revanth emphasized that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party remains committed to secular values and inclusive governance, contrasting it with what he termed as the BJP’s “divisive politics.” He further stated, “Modi is working to break India, but we are working to build it.

Highlighting his government's commitment, Revanth said that the Congress in Telangana had fulfilled its promise to Rahul Gandhi by waiving off farmers’ loans, a major electoral assurance. “We have stood by our word and delivered,” he added.

Reiterating the demand for caste-based census, Revanth called for its implementation not just in Telangana but across the entire country. “Only a caste census can bring clarity and justice in resource allocation and ensure real empowerment,” he said.

In a strong political statement, he declared that BJP will not be allowed to gain ground in Telangana. “We will stop them right at the border. Telangana will not tolerate communal politics,” he asserted.

His speech was received with loud cheers by party cadres, as Revanth positioned the Congress as the primary defender of secularism and social justice against what he called the “threat of communal polarization” under BJP’s rule.
