Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, Sridhar Babu, conducted an inspection of Young India Skills University and held a detailed review meeting with university officials. During the visit, he stressed the need to make Telangana a national skill powerhouse, highlighting the state's commitment to strengthening youth employability through industry-relevant training.
The Minister stated that skill development programs must align with the current and future needs of various industries, particularly in emerging sectors such as green energy, automation, and AI. He directed officials to prioritize courses that are in high demand and ensure that training modules are continuously updated to match global standards.
A strong emphasis was also placed on the need to empower rural youth. “Soft skills training should be an integral part of the curriculum,” he said, noting that communication, problem-solving, and digital literacy are essential for holistic development.
Minister Sridhar Babu expressed confidence that the Young India Skills University can become a model institution for others to emulate if it maintains high standards and consistent industry collaboration. He assured the university of the government’s full support in scaling up operations and enhancing infrastructure to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and global-ready talent from Telangana.
