Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, the Delhi Capitals (DC) secured a dominant six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 24th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. KL Rahul, leading from the front, played a sensational captain's knock to guide his team to a convincing victory.
Winning the toss, RCB opted to bat first and managed to post a total of 163 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Though they started well, the middle-order couldn’t maintain the momentum, leading to a below-par finish. Delhi’s bowlers kept things tight, picking up wickets at regular intervals and denying RCB a late flourish.
Chasing 164, Delhi Capitals made their intent clear from the start. KL Rahul anchored the innings with an unbeaten 93 off just 53 balls, laced with elegant boundaries and well-timed sixes. His knock was a perfect blend of aggression and composure, taking the pressure off the rest of the batting lineup.
Rahul found support from the middle order, and the Capitals comfortably chased down the target in 17.5 overs, finishing at 169 for 4. With this win, Delhi Capitals continue their strong form in the tournament, while RCB are left to reconsider their game plans after another disappointing outing.
KL Rahul was rightfully named Player of the Match for his stellar performance. The win has further cemented Delhi’s position on the points table as they continue their march towards the playoffs.
